What is new for parents at SPHS?
  • This year we are excited to pilot our parent center. Three days a week, from 2:45-4:30 activities take place to help all parents and guardians support their student’s success.
  • SPHS staff, teachers, and the Parent Involvement Coordinator will be there to answer your questions and connect you to the right people in order to resolve your problems.
  • For extra challenging problems family appointments can be made on Monday and Tuesday mornings.
  • It is highly recommended that students accompany their parent to all parent education meetings. Students attending any parent involvement meeting will receive community service hours that comply with MAP and AVID requirements.
  • Check the schedule below for upcoming events.

Title I Parent Student Seminars from 8:00 AM- 12:00 AM
Parents and students sit side by side, they analyze grades and home and extracurricular responsibilities and then set goals for achievement. Parents learn how to look up current grades. Good for all families and students, great for struggling students or students looking to go to college and are feeling weighed down by all the choices, requirements, and planning involved in getting there.
