Attendance FAQ's:
How do I report my student's absence?
- Leave a message on the Attendance Hotline, 291-6010. The information to leave is your student's name and
birthdate, your name and relationship to student, the reason for the absence, the date of the absence, and your
phone number. Please call us the day of the absence. This phone line is checked for messages all day long.
Why do you need my student's birthdate?
- There are two primary reasons. 1) The more information you give us, the more assured we are that you are
authorized to excuse the absence. 2) We do have a number of students with identical names; the birthdate
helps to identify which one is your student.
How do I request an Off-Campus Pass?
- Leave a message on the Attendance Hotline, 291-6010. The information to leave is your student's name and birthdate,
your name and relationship to student, the time your student needs to leave, the reason your
student needs to leave, and who is picking up the student. You may send this information via fax, as
well, to (760)291-6085. Please make sure the fax is signed. The EASIEST method, for us as well as for
you, is to send a signed note with your student. If your student brings this note to the Attendance
Office before school, we will give him the pass right then and there. He will be able to leave class and
meet you at your car.
How can I speak to a live person in the Attendance Office?
- You may call 291-6012, 291-6024 or 291-6011. This office can be very busy. If we don't answer the phone, PLEASE
leave a message. We will call you back.
