All schools prefer that you apply electronically. (Calpoly San Luis Obispo requires an electronic application)

If you do use a paper application, go to the Post Office and get a certificate of mailing and keep a copy of everything that you send.
Answer all questions thoroughly. Report information- don't evaluate it.
Be aware that all information is subject to verification.
Do not send a transcript.
You do not report your GPA on the application

Meet all deadlines! Filing dates are:

CSU - Oct. 1-Nov. 30

UC - Nov. 1- Nov. 30

UC:

Do not use uncommon acronyms to describe activities.
Be sure to include the personal statement which should be written exclusively by the student and reflect his/her own ideas.
ELC students should be sure to include their designated number.
Be very specific on community service activities.
