Cal-SAFE
Cal-SAFE, or California School Age Families Education, offers support for parent or expecting students. Cal-SAFE is designed to allow students to imporve academic achievement, while also improving parenting skills and providing child care and development programs for their children. Cal-SAFE builds upon existing local collaboratives to provide a unified integrated system of services to children, youth, and families.
The Cal-SAFE child care center is located on the San Pasqual campus, and is available for the children of teen parents in the Escondido Union High School district. The pregnant or parenting teens continue to attend any school in the EUHSD.
